Youtie阐释了一种由碳原子构成的新型材料——石墨烯的主要研究特征和发展现状。科学覆盖图基图的基础数据来源于2009年汤森路透发布的科学引文索引和社会科学引文索引的期刊引文报告中的6100多万条引文信息。专利覆盖图基图的数据来源于2000-2006年欧洲专利局PATSTAT专利数据库中的4100万条专利引文信息。两个基图的构建是基于余弦相似值指标,它们分别反映了文献中222个Web of Science分类和专利中466个国际专利分类号(IPCs)之间的引用关系。混合层次组合中的相似大小的分类依据绘图者自身的算法来计算。此外,18个宏观学科分类和35个宏观专利技术分类依靠因子分析来确定。以“石墨烯”作为检索词、2000-2013年为时间区间来获得相应的数据集绘制石墨烯覆盖图,该地图图像化地定位了石墨烯研究涉及到的学科以及技术发展领域,有利于阐明创新动态以支持商业和政策决策制定。
